OUR HERITAGE
It’s our heritage that positions us as leaders in understanding consumer behaviours and the application of this data across industry.
Starcount’s original idea was conceptualised by Clive Humby OBE and Edwina Dunn OBE, founders of dunnhumby and pioneers of customer data science.
Clive and Edwina have consistently innovated the way the industry understands and motivates customers. First building geo-demographics to say ‘you are where you live’, then trailblazing retail loyalty programmes to predict what customers want next with ‘you are what you buy’ and then they began their search for the next big dataset that shows not just what someone bought; but what they care about; ‘you are what you love’.
And so Starcount was born…
Co-founded by Rowena Humby, together with her business partner, Michael Reed, they have a joint mission to embed this algorithm across the marketing and advertising ecosystem. They are united by a belief that data can be used for good and collaboratively design privacy-first targeting solutions that positively impact the customer experience.
